The East Central Community College Warriors Baseball team back on their home field at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur this afternoon to play double header conference division baseball games against the Coahoma Community College Tigers from Clarksdale. The EC Warriors entered the contest 11-5 overall on the season while the Tigers from Coahoma enter 12-6 overall on the year.

In the first game, the Tigers put the first run on the scoreboard in the top of the opening inning to take an early lead in the game. The Warriors scored one in the bottom of the 3rd inning to tie the game at 1-1, then scored two runs in the 4th, one in the 5th, and two runs in the 6th inning to move ahead of the Tigers by five runs, 6-1. The Warriors put another run on the scoreboard in the bottom of the 7th inning on a homerun by Will Ross to lead by six runs, 7-1. Another run scored for the Warriors in the bottom of the 8th inning giving them a seven run lead going into the top of the 9th inning but the Tigers were not ready to concede the first game to the Warriors without a fight and they picked up four  runs in the top of the 9th inning after a pitching change by the Warriors , cutting the Warriors lead to only three runs but still giving the Warriors an 8-5 victory.

In game two, the Warriors scored four runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and then added another run on a homerun by Jacob Edwards in the bottom of the 2nd inning to take a five run lead in the game. No additional runs would score in the game until the bottom of the 5th inning when the Warriors added two additional runs for a 7-0 lead. The remainder of the game was scoreless giving the Warriors their second win of the day over the Tigers of Coahoma Community College.
