A Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 7 pm – 9pm at the Old Carthage Elementary School in Carthage.  The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course is sponsored by TX ALERRT Mississippi Office of Homeland Security.

The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built to the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by TX ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, medical issues, and drills.
