Philadelphia Police Chief Grant Myers turned in his resignation Tuesday at the City’s Alderman meeting. Myers has served the City of Philadelphia for over 5 years as Police Chief. Myers stated his official last day will be May 31.

Myers posted to social media Thursday, “May 31 will be my last day at the Philadelphia Police Department. I submitted my resignation to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen Tuesday night. I’ve truly enjoyed the last 5 1/2 years at the PD.”

Myers says he will be joining the Neshoba County District Attorney’s Office and looks forward to serving Philadelphia and Neshoba County in his new role.
