On Saturday, April 6 the Neshoba County Shriner Club will hold their annual barbecue chicken plate sale at Vowell’s marketplace/Fred’s Parking lot. The sale will start at 10 am and will go until 1 pm. The cost this year is only $8. Come out and help  a great organization with its annual fundraiser and enjoy some great food.

What is a Shriner and why should I help support them? Shriners are all around us, our neighbors, family members, friends. They are physicians, lawyers, truck drivers, dentists, contractors, heads of state, movie stars, generals, constabulary, city officials and accountants.

Shriners come from all walks of life with a key goal of helping others, helping Children. There are twenty-two Shriners Hospitals for Children providing care for orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate. These hospitals have helped more than 800,000 children – at no cost to parent or child. The generosity of donors is what enables Shriners Hospitals for Children® to deliver life-changing medical care without placing burden on the families of our patients.

There are many ways to give, from participating in one of our many fundraising events throughout the year, to creating a plan for giving. No matter how large or small, every gift to Shriners Hospitals for Children makes a difference in the life of a child.
