Little: 3rd grade – 5th grade  |  Jr: 6th grade – 8th grade  |  Miss: 9th grade – 12th grade


One lucky girl will receive the title of MISS KICKS 96 and will represent themselves and the radio station at specific station events and featured rodeo events for the upcoming year! They will also receive the following:

  • Scholarship Money
  • Crown and Sash
  • New Western Wear
  • New Pair of Boots
  • New Cowgirl Hat

Jr. Miss Kicks 96 and Little Miss Kicks 96 winners will receive the following:

  • Scholarship Money
  • Crown and Sash

There is a $20 non-refundable application fee

The pageant will be held on Saturday, August 20th at The Guitar Academy in Kosciusko. Times to be determined. Each contestant will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the pageant. All other tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $5 for students, ages 5 and under Free.

Each Contestant will be judged on the following criteria:

  1. Stage Presence
  2. Western Wear
  3. Impromptu Questioning
  4. Contestant’s answer to the question “Why do you want to be Little/Jr./Miss Kicks 96?”
  5. Community Commercial **Miss Kicks 96 contestants only**

All applying contestants will:

  • fill out an online questionnaire based upon their age group and will have parent or guardian permission
  • review the questions and answers given, as they will be part of the panel question and answer segment
  • dress in western attire for modeling segment (come dressed in what you plan to wear as changing rooms will NOT be available)
  • **Miss Kicks 96 contestants only** write a 30 second commercial about their community, what they love about it, and why someone should visit it (roughly 80 words) – Miss Kicks 96 winning contestant will have their commercial recorded, produced, and played on air

Miss Kicks 96 Winning Contestants must:

  • have reliable transportation to and from station events (will be notified at least 2 weeks in advance of all appearances)
  • must understand that they are presenting the radio station, their families, and communities at all times
  • must be able to balance both a professional, well-mannered and entertaining personality at all times
