The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency has issued a warning about an ongoing scam.

In a Facebook post, the agency said scammers are claiming that FEMA is giving out $800 vouchers for disaster assistance.

The post reads: “Currently, Mississippi is NOT under a major disaster declaration due to the Winter Storm. IF federal assistance is available, we will share it with you here, on our website and through the media.”
