On Tuesday at 8:09am, Carthage Fire Department was called out for a grass fire on Highway 25 near Pollard Road. It was quickly reported that the fire had been caused by a car driving in the median and that the fire had been put out with minimal effort.
At 8:59pm, officers responded to a stranded motorist, victim of a hit and run, on Spinout Road. A wrecker was called but no EMS was needed.
