East Central Community College’s Miriam Prince has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Freshman of the Year.
Additionally, Prince was named First Team All-MACCC.
During her freshman season, the Leake Academy alum averaged 16.3 points per game and scored a total of 490 points for the season.
She helped lead the Lady Warriors to a post-season berth in the Region 23 tournament.
In game one of that tournament, Prince scored 40 points to help the team to an 85-71 win over Southern-Sherevport.
In November, Prince announced that she would be playing her sophomore season at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
