Car Fire Gets Close to House Near Thomastown

CARTHAGE, Miss.–A fire involving an unoccupied car was close to a house early Saturday afternoon near Thomastown.

The fire was called in just after noon on Tracey Rd.

Once Thomastown firefighters got there they immediately called for backup from Carthage and Leake County firefighters, saying that the fire was near a house.

Shortly after that firefighters called for an ambulance, stating a person had been burned. But, the burns were minor.

The fire was under control and then extinguished before 1 p.m.
