CARTHAGE, Miss.–A woods fire was reported Saturday night near Carthage on Hwy. 16 east.
The fire, according to the caller, was near the old Southern and Soul restaurant. That was about 7:30 p.m.
Leake County and Carthage fire departments responded. By 8 p.m. the fire was under control.
No injuries were reported with the fire.
