One person was transported to the hospital after their vehicle struck a tree near Edinburg this afternoon.
Emergency responders, including Leake County Deputies, Mississippi Highway Patrol, EMS, and the Edinburg Fire Department, worked the one-vehicle crash on Highway 16 East near Bobo’s House Movers.
Initial reports stated that the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. One person was injured and transported to the hospital via ambulance. The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
