The basketball season came to an end today for the Leake Academy Lady Rebels in the consolation game playing the Lady Mustangs from Pillow Academy in Greenwood the host site for the State 5A tournament. The Lady Rebels were up by 4 points after the opening quarter but trailed by 1 point at halftime, 23-22. The game remained close in the 3rd quarter with Pillow up by 2 points. In the final quarter of play the Lady Mustangs had increased their lead to 9 points when the horn sounded to win the contest 46-37. The Lady Rebels had to win todays game in order to advance to the overall tournament at Mississippi College next week.
