The Department of Public Safety is still asking the public to hold off on visiting a driver’s license office in Mississippi unless it’s an emergency. A software upgrade created a glitch in the system and it’s taking longer than usual to complete transactions. And there’s now a backlog in the system. DPS is asking for patience as it works with the software vendor to get things back up to speed.
