Local students selected for Mississippi Ag Youth Council

Three students from Neshoba County have been selected to serve on the Mississippi Agriculture Youth Council.

Agriculture Commissioner Andy Gibson says a total of 14 high school seniors will become advocates for the state’s agricultural industry and will be exposed to a variety of possible farm-related careers.

The Neshoba County students are Kalie Carroll, Laney Carroll and John Spears .

Other members of the Youth Council are from Alcorn, Covington, George, Hinds, Itawamba, Jones, Kemper, Oktibbeha, Panola, and Scott Counties.
