A one-vehicle crash occurred just after 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, on Highway 25 South at Rushing Road.
The vehicle left the roadway, drove into the wood line, and struck a tree.
Leake County Deputies, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Carthage Fire Department, and EMS were all dispatched to the scene of the crash.
The driver sustained a possible back injury and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
