A two-vehicle crash briefly blocked a lane of traffic on Highway 16 E in Carthage late Wednesday morning. The accident occurred just after 11 a.m. between Jr. Food Mart and KFC.
Carthage Police, EMS, and the Carthage Fire Department responded to the scene.
No major injuries were reported, but one person was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The roadway was cleared and both vehicles involved were towed from the scene.
