The Leake Academy basketball teams traveled to Flora this afternoon to play district games with the Rebels of Tri-County Academy. The varsity Lady Rebels improved their season record to 22-4 overall and 6-0 in district play with a 45 point victory over the Tri-County Lady Rebels, 62-17. In the men’s game, the Leake Rebels held a one point lead at halftime, 28-27 but the Tri-County Rebels were up by 5 point going into the final quarter, 40-35 and continued to outpace Leake in the final quarter to win the game by 9 points, 58-49. With tonight’s loss, the Leake Rebels are 22-3 overall and 5-1 in district play.
Our next broadcast of Leake Academy Rebels varsity basketball on Cruisin 98 will be Tuesday January 13th when the Rebels return to Madden to host the Stars of Winona Christian Academy.
