Philadelphia Police have made two arrests in connection with an assault and robbery that occurred at the Super Inn and Suites on January 21, 2026.
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the hotel around 9 p.m. and made contact with the victim, who told officers he was beaten in the head and face with a pistol. Police say an AR-style rifle was taken during the assault.
Investigators say a female inside the room had been involved in a verbal altercation with the victim just before a male entered the room, and both allegedly participated in the assault.
Emily Shoemake Coleman, 28, of Philadelphia, has been charged with aggravated assault.

Jaykwon Miller, 19, of Crystal Ridge, has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

Police also located a man named Keyshawn Nickey and determined he was not involved in the incident.
Coleman and Miller are being held at the Leake County Jail. Bond has not been set.
