CARTHAGE, Miss.–A person was reported laying in the road on Hwy. 35 after a motorcycle wreck in Carthage Saturday night.
The wreck was reported shortly before 9 p.m. in front of Scott Petroleum.
Once an officer arrived in the scene, he asked for dispatchers to tell paramedics to hurry. The officer then reported that the man was hurt “pretty bad”, and that it was a hit and run and the offender had already left the scene.
The victim was taken directly to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
