Central Electric Restoration Efforts

SHARE NOW

Central Electric Power Association has been responding to power outages throughout the day caused by severe winter weather and ice accumulation mainly in the northern part of our service area.
Restoration efforts will pause at dark and will resume at daybreak tomorrow. High winds and below freezing temperatures create severe dangers for our crews along with hazardous travel, falling trees and limbs, and limited visibility. We must carefully perform restoration work with safety as our top priority for both our employees and the public. As of 5:30 p.m., there are approximately 280 members without power in Attala county.
In the event of a power outage, Central Electric crews will respond as soon as the conditions are safe. If you experience an outage, you can report it by:
Text: Once enrolled, simply text “OUT” to 866-846-5671
Website: www.centralepa.com (click on Report an Outage)
Phone: 601-267-3043
As a safety reminder, please stay away from downed power lines. We encourage all our members to stay off the roads to allow emergency responders and line crews to safely do their jobs. For updates on power outages and restoration efforts during this winter storm, visit our website at www.centralepa.com or tune in to Kicks 96.7, Breezy 103.7, or Cruisin 98.3.
