Structure Fire Near Madden Community

A structure fire was reported at 9:11 p.m. Sunday, January 26, at a home on Highway 488 near the Madden community. Carthage Fire Department, Madden Volunteer firefighters, and Leake County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. Deputies reported the structure was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
