The Leake Academy boys and girls basketball teams will begin postseason play this week following changes caused by recent winter weather.
The Region 2-3A District Tournament was canceled due to icy conditions that prevented some teams from traveling. As a result, postseason advancement was determined by regular-season records, with the top four teams moving on to the MAIS 3A North State Tournament.
Both Leake Academy teams enter North State play as No. 1 seeds.
Games will be played at Oak Hill Academy in West Point.
The Leake Academy girls team will face West Memphis on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 4:15 p.m. The boys team will follow with a matchup against Kirk Academy at 5:30 p.m. the same day.
