The average price for gas in Mississippi climbed another five cents to $3.32 Sunday morning after a seven-cent increase Saturday. AAA says that’s a total of 79.4 cents since the daily price hikes began on Feb. 28. The auto club says the last time gas was this expensive in the state was in August of 2023. Mississippi traditionally has some of the cheapest fuel in the country but our prices have been rising faster than several other states which have lower average prices now. Mississippi currently ranks eighth in the nation for the lowest price behind Kansas, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, South Dakota and Nebraska.
