PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–You are being warned about a scam targeting residents of Neshba County.

Sheriff Eric Clark says scammers are calling people claiming to be deputies from his department telling people they have a warrant out for their arrest and they must send money via wire transfer or using a QR code.

The scammers send a QR code during the call.
