A fatal crash on Attala Rd. 3122 was reported around 6:25 a.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026.
One person reportedly became trapped inside a vehicle that caught fire and ultimately exploded.
Attala County Coroner Sam Bell identified the victim as 38-year-old Brandon Sheedy of Attala County. Sheedy was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
A young child involved in the incident was airlifted to a hospital in Jackson. The child’s condition has not been released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
