CARTHAGE, Miss.–After an afternoon of calls about people driving recklessly on ATVs in various locations in Leake County, an ATV wreck was reported Saturday evening on St. Anne Rd.
That was near Red Dog Rd., and was reported just before 7:30 p.m.
Leake County deputies and ambulances were dispatched, with a report of at least three people being hurt.
A deputy reported that the road was “full of four-wheelers”, and requested backup.
Another call came in stating there was a woman with a pistol that was threatening people who were trying to help the people who were hurt.
Deputies were able to get the situation under control. It was unclear if anyone was arrested or if there was any truth to the report about the woman with a gun.
