Choctaw Tribal Schools will release all students early today (May 6) at 2:00 PM because of incoming severe weather, officials announced Wednesday.
The district issued a weather alert citing safety concerns amid forecasts of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning. Families are urged to make immediate arrangements for student pickup and transportation.
“The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority,” the district stated in the alert.
Parents and guardians should coordinate accordingly and monitor local weather updates.
Officials encouraged the community to “stay safe and weather aware.”
