CARTHAGE, Miss.–A Leake County deputy attempted to pull over a car Friday night and the car did not stop at first.
The pursuit began about 8:30 p.m. on Hwy. 16 east.
The car kept going, with deputies anticipating the chase might reach Neshoba County. Eventually the car turned onto Indian Branch Rd.
About 8:38 p.m. the car stopped on Indian Branch Rd.
It was unclear why the car was being pulled over intially.
