The Leake Academy Rebels traveled to Columbus to face the Patriots of Heritage Academy in their first district 2- 3A contest of the season. The Rebels entered with a 3-1 season record while the Patriots were looking for their first win of the season. The Rebels were leading the game 27-7 over the opening quarter and were leading 30-13 at halftime. However the Patriots came out hot in the 3rd quarter scoring 3 touchdowns to only 1 touchdown for the Rebels cutting the Rebels lead to 6 points going into the final quarter. The Patriots scored again early in the 4th quarter to take a 1 point lead in the game, 37-36, then scored again late in the game to go ahead by 8 points, 44-36 which would be the final points scored in the game. Next week the Rebels return to Madden to host Tri-County Academy.
