UNION, Miss.–About 4:15 Saturday afternoon Neshoba County deputies became involved in a pursuit by the Union Police Dept. A woman had taken off after reportedly hitting a police car.
The pursuit was on Hwy. 15, north from Union.
Deputies waited with spike strips to try and deflate the woman’s tires.
Just before the car reached the spike strips, it came to a stop near the intersection of Hwy. 15 and County Rd. 432.
After the woman was cuffed, firefighters were called because her car was smoking. The woman’s name has not yet been made public.
