High Speed Chase in Leake
On August 28th, at 9:46PM, Leake authorities engaged in a chase for over forty-five minutes that led them in and out of Carthage at speeds up to eighty-five miles per hour. Subject then fled on foot off Goshen Road and disappeared into the woods.

On Monday at 6:05pm, officers were called out to an accident on Waggoner Road involving a passenger vehicle and a log truck, with injuries. EMS was notified. On person was transported to Baptist-Leake with a head injury.
