Burn Ban in Place for City of Carthage

The City of Carthage has announced that a burn ban is in effect until further notice within the City limits of Carthage. No burn permits will be issued during this time, and anyone caught burning will receive a $1,000.00 fine.

Neshoba Courthouse Open Today For Absentee Voters Convenience

(Brian Montgomery) - The Neshoba County Courthouse will be open today (Saturday August 19th) from 8am to noon to collect any submissions from absentee voters. The runoff from August 8th primaries takes place on August 29th, with State elections happening in November.
