Car Stopped Going the Wrong Way Near Carthage

CARTHAGE, Miss.–A car was stopped by a Leake County deputy for going the wrong way on Hwy. 25, Saturday afternoon.

The deputy called the incident in just before 5:45 p.m., saying he was behind the car that was headed south in the northbound lane. He asked for assistance from another deputy to get the car stopped and to possibly get in front of the car to warn other drivers.

The car was stopped a couple of minutes later.

It was unclear whether there were any arrests.
