The East Central Community College Warriors were back at the Bracken-Wood Gymnasium in Decatur tonight playing Lawson State Community College from Birmingham. The EC Lady Warriors were first on the floor to play the Lady Cougars. The Lady Cougars would spoil the Lady Warriors unbeaten season record winning the game by 7points, 59-52. The Lady Warriors had a 5 point lead after the opening quarter but trailed Lawson by 1 at halftime by 5 point after 3 quarters and by 7 points when the horn sounded to end the game.
In the Men’s game, the Warriors and Cougars would battle to a 70-70 tie in regulation but the Cougars outscored the Warriors in the overtime period to remain undefeated on their season, winning the game by 4 points, 82-78. The Warriors are now 6-5 on the season.
