CARTHAGE, Miss.–A fire in a pasture in Carthage gave firefighters a tough time Saturday afternoon.
The fire was reported about 1:45 p.m. on Franklin St. When Carthage firefighters first arrived they did not believe they could get to the fire and requested that the Miss. Forestry Commission be notified to bring special equipment.
Another fire unit got there and figured out a way around to get to the fire from Goshen Rd.
Once they were able to get into the pasture they were able to get the fire out without the need for Forestry.
