MADDEN, Miss.–A grass fire was reported on the side of Madden Rd. Saturday afternoon.
When the fire was dispatched at 5 p.m. it appeared to have been started by someone throwing out a cigarette.
When firefighters got to the scene they reported a power line down and notified Central Electric. It was unclear if that may have been the actual cause or whether it was a result of the fire.
The fire was put out around 5:15.
