CARTHAGE, Miss.–Injuries were reported in a two-car wreck in Leake County Saturday afternoon.
The wreck was reported just before 1 p.m. at Hwy. 25 and Red Dog Rd.
Carthage Police and Leake County deputies responded to the scene, as well as fire and rescue units. The Mississippi Highway Patrol also responded.
Deputies helped block the highway so an air ambulance could land.
One person was taken to UMMC in Jackson. The extent and nature of the injuries were not described in detail.
