The Leake Academy Rebels traveled to Jackson Academy to play the 6A Raiders in the opening game of the 2024 football season. The Raiders were up by 7 points after the opening quarter and had a 4 point lead at halftime, leading the Rebels 14-10. The 3rd quarter was a defensive battle with the only points scored being a field goal by the raiders to to take a 17-10 lead into the final quarter. Both teams would score a pair of touchdowns in 4th quarter but Leake would fall short to the Raiders by 8 points, 31-23. The Rebels return to Madden to take on Starkville Academy next Friday night on Cruisin 98 and Boswell Media Sports will bring you play by play coverage beginning with the pre-game show at 6:10pm with kickoff at 7:00pm.
