The Leake Academy varsity basketball teams traveled to Pearl tonight for the opening game of the 5A District 2 playing the Crusaders of Park Place Christian Academy and both the Girls and Boys teams came away victorious. The Lady Rebels jumped out to a 26 point halftime lead, 31-5 and continued to dominate in the second half winning the game by 50 points, 65-15 to improve to 10-2 on the season.
In the boys game, the Rebels were up by 18 points at halftime, 34-16 and continued to dominate the second half winning the game by 31 points, 60-29.
Our next broadcast of Leake Academy varsity basketball on Cruisin 98 will be this Friday, December 8 when the teams return to Madden to host the Raiders of Lamar High School from Meridian. Tipoff for the girls game is set for 6:00pm with the boys game to follow.
