Leake Academy Teams Sweep Lamar School in Madden


The Leake Academy varsity basketball teams were back at Joe F. Sheppard Gymnasium tonight hosting the Lamar School Raiders and both the Lady Rebels and Rebels came away with a win. The Lady Rebels were up by 21 points at halftime, 36-15 and continued to dominate in the second half winning the game by 39 points, 75-36. With tonight’s win the Lady Rebels improve their season record to 11-2 overall and 2-0 in 5A-District 2 play.

In the Men’s game, the Rebels were up by 22 points at halftime, 40-18 and continued to advance the lead over the Raiders in the second half winning the game by 33 points, 70-37 to improve their season record to 8-4 overall and 2-0 in district play.

Our next broadcast of Leake Academy varsity basketball on Cruisin 98 will be next Friday night, December 15 when the teams travel to Pelahatchie to play the Patriots of East Rankin Academy. Tipoff at 6:00pm with the pregame beginning at 5:550pm.
