LENA, Miss.–Two cars wrecked near Lena Saturday evening and the wreck was responsible for a light pole being snapped.
That happened about 6:45 p.m. on Hwy 487 west.
When the first deputy arrived he reported that one of the cars was on top of a fire hydrant and a light pole had been snapped in two.
At least two people were hurt in the wreck and an ambulance was sent to the scene.
Mississippi Power was called to check out the light pole and a crew spent a couple of hours putting up a new pole. Deputies were called back to help with traffic.
