CARTHAGE, Miss.–Shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday, Carthage Police received a vague call without any descritption of the trouble, to come to Pearl St.
The dispatcher said the woman who called did not speak English well.
When the first officer arrived he found two cars in the road and a third flipped in the woods off the side of the street. Inside the car was a woman, soon discovered to be pregnant.
The officer said the woman was not in good shape and called for an ambulance and the fire department.
Once the ambulance arrived, paramedics determined the woman needed to go to the hospital. She ended up being taken to University of Miss. Medical Center in Jackson.
The nature of her injuries were not specified.
It was unclear how the wreck happened.
