The Leake Academy Rebels Defeated the Simpson Academy Cougars 45-36 tonight in Madden to advance to the semifinal round of the 5A playoffs. The Rebels were up 10-6 at halftime. The second half was an offensive shootout with both teams scoring 2 touchdowns in the third quarter giving the rebels a 24-20 lead. In the final quarter the Rebels scored 3 touchdowns while the Cougars scored 2 touchdowns to give the Rebels the 9 point victory, 45-36. Next week the Rebels will travel to Senatobia to play Magnolia Heights in the 5A semifinal round of the 5A playoffs.
