CARTHAGE, Miss.–A one-car wreck with injuries was reported Saturday afternoon at 4:24.
The crash was on Hwy. 25 south, just north of Hwy. 16. Police and rescue personnel did not discuss the nature or number of injuries over police radio.
At least two women were hurt and went to the Baptist-Leake emergency room.
An ambulance was dispatched, as well as police and firefighters to help people in a green Mustang.
A short time later a police officer reported seeing a white Nissan Armada had also wrecked nearby. Upon further investigation, they found out both vehicles had been involved in the wreck. Both drivers said they had hit water in the road and hydroplaned.
