CARTHAGE, Miss.–A two-car wreck was reported shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday, at SO Williams Rd. at Galilee Rd., southeast of Carthage.
When deputies and rescue workers arrived they requested an ambulance because someone had a leg injury.
The cars were blocking the road. One of the vehicles involved was a four-door truck, so the appropriate wrecker was sent to tow it.
One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Harkins Rd. at Red Dog
Just before 7 p.m. a one-car wreck was called in by a Central Electric crew who saw a white Mitsubishi rolled over at the intersection of Harkins Rd. at Red Dog Rd.
Someone else called the wreck in and reported seeing blood on the windshield, but did not see anyone inside or around the car.
It was later reported by someone with the Thomastown Volunteer Fire Dept. that the occupants of the car, two women, had gotten out of the car and gotten a ride to the hospital. One of them possibly had a broken arm.
