Nicholas Fenner at the National Weather Service in Jackson says there’s tree damage in Clinton– and that’s one of the areas a survey team will be looking at today…

“But there were also some circulations farther north, east of Camden up toward Thomastown.  And we’ll also do some investigating by phone to find out if there were any other areas of damage that might warrant a survey.”

Leake County Emergency Management Director Tommy Malone says he got reports of some trees down on Pleasant Grove Road near Conway as that intense storm came through…

“I heard some of the deputies out, talking about how bad it was and the visibility was low because of the rain and everything.”
