KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–You are likely to see a wet Christmas, not a white Christmas in central Mississippi, said the National Weather Service.
For the beginning of the week temperatures will be rising and getting back into the 60s. By Christmas Eve, the high will be in the upper 60s and by Christmas Day the high will be near 70.
Rain chances begin Christmas morning and last through the weekend.
The Weather Service is also looking at the possibility for storms, some of them possibly on the strong side, by the latter part of the week.
