On Tuesday, September 10, a series of incidents were reported across Neshoba County.
A resident on County Road 505 alleged that a FedEx driver threw their package. When the resident’s wife confronted the driver, she claimed his truck smelled like marijuana.
Another report came from a resident on Highway 482 near the Sandtown community, who heard a loud noise resembling a gunshot that shook her mobile home. Deputies investigated but found nothing unusual.
A domestic disturbance was also reported on Highway 21 North, where a woman was allegedly swinging a large piece of PVC pipe outside a residence near the Philadelphia city limits.
Deputies were alerted to a man reportedly attempting to sell meth in front of the Dollar General on Highway 16.
Later in the day, Neshoba County deputies, EMS, and the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 482 near Highway 491. The vehicle ended up in a pasture, and the driver, whom the caller believed to be intoxicated, attempted to flee the scene.
