KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–Attala County deputies helped find an Amazon delivery driver who was lost and ended up in a ditch and stranded early Sunday morning.
The woman called 911 shortly after midnight. She did not know where she was and was able to provide a description with some landmarks, included a water tower and a pond.
The dispatcher and deputies worked together using the available cell phone data to narrow the search to the area of Attala Rd 5115, which is off of Hwy. 19 to the southeast of Kosy.
After a search that lasted about 45 minutes a deputy used sirens so the woman could listen and tell the dispatcher when she heard them coming.
She was located around 1:15 a.m.
A wrecker had to be called. She was not only stuck in a ditch, but the van was buried up to the frame.
No injuries were reported.
