CARTHAGE, Miss.–If you drive Hwy. 427 in Leake County, you should be aware that both directions of that highway will close between Rocky Rd. Lan. and Hwy. 16 for a bridge replacement.
The closure is expected to begin Monday, Aug. 24, and is expected to extend through the spring of 2027, according to the Mississippi Dept. of Transportation.
During the closure, you are being advised to take Hwy. 427 to Hwy. 15 in Philadelphia, via Hwy. 16 east, then south on Hwy. 21 to Hwy. 488, taking traffic back to the south side of the closure on Hwy. 427.
